Suggested Questionnaire for a
Prospective Spouse Compatibility Check before Marriage.
This is a broad Questionnaire which should help you take a decision whether the prospective person for marriage is suitable for you or not. We do not claim that this is an exhaustive or comprehensive list. Please feel free to add to it or modify.
We encourage you to answer these questions to yourself before you decide to get married. Remember if you ask these questions to your would be spouse, he or she can also ask you the same.

OpenOffice
Everybody using a PC or a laptop requires an Office suite over and above the basic Operating system. One of the main applications you can use for creating Documents, Spreadsheets and Presentations is OpenOffice. It is a suite of products which include Writer, Calc and Impress. It has
In addition there is a Flow chart maker, a Maths document maker and a Database engine. This product is supported by Sun (now Oracle) and the Open Source community. It is an equivalent of MS Office and is in many respects even better than its arch rival. It is free, small, efficient and you can install it on as many computers as you like without any obligations.
You can visit http://www.openoffice.org to download it and also read more about it. It is available for most of the common platforms like Windows and Linux.
WPS Office (Kingsoft Office)
Another great alternative is WPS Office. It also has all the features mentioned above like Document, Spreadsheet and Presentation editor. OpenOffice sometimes gives some formatting issues when a complex MS Office document is opened but WPS Office is 100% compatible. It has a Free version and a paid version.
WPS Office 2016 Business edition includes word processor Writer, spreadsheet tool and a presentation manager Presentation. WPS Office is committed to providing easy-to-use and efficient office software. Composed of Writer, Spreadsheets and Presentation, WPS Office is a full-featured office suite with small size and excellent compatibility.
Highlights of WPS Office
Advantages of OpenOffice:
We would like to urge you strongly to use OpenOffice for all your PCs and laptops. About a third of the cost of a PC/laptop is the cost of an Office suite if you choose to purchase licenses of MS Office. Why spend that precious money (in these times of unending recession) when a better, efficient and free solution is available. OpenOffice has nearly all of the functionality that highly priced commercial rivals possess. Even if you need to open or edit MS Office documents, spreadsheets or presentations, it can easily do that. It can open and edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint files and save them to their original format.
NGOs and Government organizations should mandatorily use OpenOffice (many of them all over the world already do), it would save precious money for the NGOs, Government and the country. We exhort you to adopt OpenOffice software as much as possible for building your company's and country's IT infrastructure. If you have apprehensions, try it out. Most of the organizations have a mental block that OpenOffice might not be able to suffice for their demanding needs but it is not true. It has all the complex functionality that you can dream off only a slightly different way of doing it in a few cases.
There are websites and articles which provide free training, tutorials and knowledge about these products. Here are a few of them:

If you need any help to adopt these technologies, let us know, we can help. This article is to help save money for you, your organization and to help spread the free software movement.

AVOID USING BOTTLED WATER
If you are traveling solo without a vehicle or traveling in a group without any means of transport to Leh and are on a small budget then there are many options available to you. Most of these are not discussed much on the internet. You can avail these if you are travelling alone because there is nobody else to share your costs. Taxis are one of the costliest options in Leh-Ladakh, so avoiding them can save you a lot of money. If you are travelling without a vehicle then J&K State Road Transport (JKSRTC) buses are your best option. Contrary to popular belief there are consistent buses to sites like Pangong Lake, Nubra Valley etc. The frequency is low but its consistent. People in Tourism department accept unofficially that they are unable to increase the frequency because of low usage and pressure from the taxi lobby.
We suggest you carry all the essentials including the ones suggested below with yourself from your home as Leh & Ladakh are very costly areas. As the tourist season is only for five-six months from May to Sept all the prices are based on the assumption that the local people earn for six months and survive with that earning for 12 months.

We assimilated some observations from our experience with Activism and fighting for different causes. Here is a list of things you can do to become an activist and start taking up causes. This was also surmised by Shri Shailesh Gandhi in a FB post in June 2016. We have assimilated the thoughts:
Eight simple steps to be an Effective Active Citizen / Activist:
We observed the following Transaction charges for Online payment for LPG Cylinders of IndianOil - IOCL (Indane). This should be same for all the other providers like Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) and Bharat Petroleum (BPCL). This can help you decide what mode you wish to choose to pay. These are extra charges in addition to the LPG Cylinder's official price.
The government gives a subsidy of Rs.5/- (0.75%) for online payment so some of these charges get offset. As you can see the best and cheapest option is to pay by Debit Card which will SAVE even MORE money than paying by Cash.
Important UPDATE: Debit card charges are now Zero as government has temporarily stopped charges for all card transactions below Rs.2000/-.
# | Mode of Payment | Transaction Charges |
---|---|---|
1 | Net Banking | Rs. 8/- (flat rate) |
2 | Credit Card | 1% of Cylinder cost, e.g. on a cylinder of Rs. 646.50/- extra charges are Rs. 6.46/- |
3 | Debit Card | 0.25% of Cylinder cost, e.g. on a cylinder of Rs. 646.50/- extra charges are Rs. 1.62/- + GST Rs. 0.29/- = Rs. 1.91/- |

Economically Weaker Section (EWS) certificates are required for school admissions and to get many other benefits in Delhi. Delhi doesn't have the concept of EWS certificates. The Ration card works as a EWS Certificate as it is issued only to people who are economically weak, i.e. annual salary is below Rs.1 Lac per year. Citizens with a salary of less than Rs. 1 Lac per month are issued the Green Ration card in Delhi. As the number of Ration cards allowed is limited for each city / state as defined by the central government, they might be available to a limited number of citizens at any time . In fact, currently (since August/September 2016) no Ration cards are being made in Delhi because Delhi has exceeded the quota available to it. In this situation you can get a EWS Salary certificate or Income Certificate made from Delhi Government. To get this made you need the following documents (all three are required now a days):
Note: It is important that either of the Aadhaar or Voter ID card must be at least three year old.
With these documents you can visit your local Sub-Divisional Magistrate's (SDM) office and get a income certificate (salary certificate) made which is valid for six months.
